Marvellous location with GLORIOUS view of the ocean. Exceptionally comfortable bed in double room with a lovely coffee, a safe, and nice sheets. Efficient check-in, easy check-out. The pool was heated and they provided water slides and a hot tub. Location so close to many restaurants on the Waikiki strip, and the surrounding green luscious gardens. Great to have a beachfront restaurant for breakfast.

Fine, Fine, Fine.
The beachfront access was everything I dreamed of! Picture this, stepping out of my room and having my toes in the sand just moments later, pure bliss! The amazing views from my Mailani Premier Ocean Double balcony literally stole my breath away each morning.

The hotel is very luxurious, staff is friendly & accommodating. The Hotel is iconic, one of the original turn of the century resorts in Waikiki. The hotel has managed to keep the hotel & its services modernized while still holding on to its original charm.

The location is great, the historic building beautiful.
The staff were disinterested and looked constantly harassed. They applied a mandatory $25 dollar resort charge to include items such as daily internet, parking etc regardless of usage. If they wanted the extra money they should just add it to the room rate. We would certainly not return.

The location is right on the beach. The lush gardens are a beautiful retreat. Room service was attentive and friendly. I enjoyed the Mai Tai at the bar. The views of Diamond Head were fine 🌴

Location is excellent. Very close to the nicest restaurants and shopping stores. Room is clean and view is to die for.
No value for money. The hotel show some age in so many part of it.

Loved the room and the cleanliness. It was very centrally located to shopping and the beach.
Very expensive. The city was so busy that it was hard to get concierge help to ask questions. I also was coming off a really long international trip that put me into Honolulu at 8:00. I could not check in until 3:00 - which was a real hardship. They did offer a room to sit and leave my things until my room opened. Just a hard transition. My biggest negative was the amount of money outlayed for the stay there - did not match up with services and accomodations received.

The hotel features beautiful ocean views and a lovely garden atmosphere. The room was a bit outdated, and the amenities did not fully meet my expectations of luxury. It's a nice option for families looking for a relaxing beach experience, though some updates would enhance the experience.

After we checked out teh hotel, we found we left one laguage in the room and made a phone call to the hotel. In conclusion, a Japanese concierge Ms. Yumi took care of our laguage and assign one taxi driver to deliver to us at Honolulu airport. We had no problem to come back. It was incrediblly good service. It is Royal Hawaiian Service, I believe. It was laso nice price via Booked.net
There was a big party of Amway Japan and teher are so many signs of Amway. Some people are not good manner.

I stayed because I had always wanted to. I had a garden view room and even though the rooms were refurbished in 2008 they are beginning to look worn. While the staff were pleasant it woe have. Even nice to be shown the main facilities on arrival. I had to ask how to connect to the Internet as this was not evident in the room. I had one breakfast only with toast and coffee which was not espresso cappuccino but filter with froth and luke warm and expensive. Given the so called reputation of this hotel it was very disappointing and more like a 3 and a half star.

A Wonderful Stay with Excellent Views
The highlight was waking up to fine ocean views and the sounds of waves. Happy Hour at the outdoor bar was a good bonus. Pro tip, consider renting beach gear for convenience!

Beautiful old building
Not an nice room, dark and gloomy. Slight black mold on shower door, scuffed off paint on wall from one of the straight back chairs. No comfortable seating in room. Very minimal seating area to enjoy the beach unless you make reservation for a beach chair. Lovely old hotel but not userfriendly. Luxury, not in my opinion.
